Design Strategies

Stemming from traditional design elements, principles and color theory, we will develop design strategies to utilize in your own work.

You can join in on roundtable discussions, and brainstorm with Michael and other students. Unfinished, or stuck projects are welcome!

VIDEO, TRANSCRIPTS AND Q&A WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR 60 DAYS AFTER THE CLASS CONCLUDES 

Format: Live online via Zoom- with slide demos, close-up tooling cams, and Q&A

Duration:  Two – 2.5hr sessions

Skill Level: Beginning to advanced metalsmiths with basic fabrication experience 

Student supplied tools and materials:

• Scissors
• Metal shears (for cutting thin gauge metal)
• Pens and pencils
• Regular and fine tip Sharpies
• Colored pencils
• Tweezers
• Small drawing Pad 
• Notebook
